Synopsis
An ex-soldier Tomaz loses his roof over his head, but he suddenly finds refuge with the poor widow Magda. Tomaz helps Magda clean up her collapsing house. He finds common ground with his mistress, but notices her strange behaviour. Magda takes care of her sick mother, who never comes down from the top floor of the house. Fulfilling her crazy demands, Magda seems enslaved by some mystical force that holds her firmly in this terrible house.
